When I tell people I’m a woman’s boudoir photographer, their first reaction is followed by one of two: a brief moment of silence or genuine “oooh!” curiosity. Those who react with a brief silence, are either uncomfortable because they have a generalized idea or because they don’t know much about it.

Boudoir photography has become increasingly popular the last few of years. However, many professional boudoir studios in the San Francisco Bay Area (and world) forget to mention the reasons why you should not book one…yet.

As a female boudoir photographer living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I find myself answering more questions about my line of photography than my work itself. Surprising, right?
